Dr. Christina Marie Ortiz, PsyD
Licensed Clinical Psychologist (PSY32597)
Welcome
You might be someone others rely on. You show up. You handle things. You keep moving forward.
And still, there may be anxiety in the background. Self-criticism. A sense of pressure that rarely fully turns off.
Or perhaps there was a specific moment that changed something for you. A car accident. A medical emergency. An assault. A sudden loss. A betrayal. An experience that you thought you had moved past, yet your body reacts as if it’s happening again. Sleep shifts. You replay what happened. Trust feels different. Certain situations feel harder than they used to.
From the outside, your life may look steady. Inside, you may be carrying more than people realize.
Therapy can be a place where we slow down and make sense of that.
I work with adults who are capable and driven, yet privately navigating anxiety, single-incident trauma, complex trauma, burnout, or relational strain.
Some clients come in after one traumatic event that disrupted their sense of safety. Others are working through attachment wounds, childhood emotional neglect, racism, bullying, or chronic stress that developed over time. In both cases, the nervous system can remain on alert long after the danger has passed.
If you find yourself thinking, “I should be fine by now,” or “It wasn’t that bad,” yet your body tells a different story, trauma-focused therapy may help.
My work is culturally conscious, trauma-informed, and grounded in evidence-based approaches including EMDR, Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I provide secure telehealth therapy to adults throughout California.
Together, we focus not only on reducing symptoms, but on helping your nervous system integrate what happened so you can respond differently in the present.
If you’re ready to explore whether this work feels right for you, I invite you to schedule a consultation.
My goal is to help you create lasting, meaningful change.
This work is designed for individuals who want to feel steadier in their emotions, clearer in their decisions, and more aligned in how they live and relate.
Together, we can:
Build practical skills to manage anxiety, panic, sadness, or anger
Improve sleep and quiet persistent worry or rumination
Strengthen self-worth and reduce perfectionism, shame, or harsh self-criticism
Process and integrate a one-time trauma or longer-standing traumatic experiences
Shift patterns of depression, burnout, or substance use
Develop healthier relationships and clearer, sustainable boundaries
Reconnect with resilience, motivation, and a deeper sense of purpose
WHO I OFTEN WORK WITH:
Many of my clients are thoughtful, high-functioning professionals who hold themselves to high standards.
They may be navigating anxiety, trauma, cultural expectations, relational stress, or the quiet exhaustion that can accompany responsibility and ambition. They are not looking only for coping strategies. They want insight, integration, and meaningful growth.
If you are ready for therapy that is both grounded and transformative, I invite you to begin.
Therapy here is thoughtful and intentional. We move at a pace that feels grounded and sustainable, with space for reflection and meaningful forward movement.
