Initial Intake Evaluation
90 minutes
$250
The initial intake is a process by which I learn about your specific needs and mental health goals. During the intake, you will:
Discuss your current problems, areas for growth, strengths, and reasons for starting therapy.
Receive feedback related to clinical diagnostic impressions and be provided with initial treatment recommendations.
Individual Session
60 minutes
$200
Sessions are where we do the work of first creating your personalized treatment plan and then meeting your mental health goals. Session length depends on your individual needs and treatment goals.
SUPERBILLS
Providing services “Out of Network.”
Depending on your health insurance plan, you may be eligible for out-of-network reimbursement. While I do not bill insurance companies directly, I provide a detailed superbill that you may submit to your insurance provider for potential reimbursement.
I recommend contacting your insurance company in advance to clarify your out-of-network mental health benefits and reimbursement rates. Please note that reimbursement is determined solely by your insurance provider and cannot be guaranteed.
Clients are responsible for submitting required documentation to their insurance company. Payment for services is due at the time of each session.
Ask these questions to your insurance provider to help determine your benefits:
Does my health insurance plan include mental health benefits?
Do I have “Out of Network” benefits?
Do I have a deductible? If so, what is it, and have I met it yet? This is the amount you need to pay out of pocket before insurance will start reimbursing you.
What is my reimbursement rate? Most companies will pay a percentage. For example, you would pay 40% and they would reimburse 60% of the session costs after meeting your deductible.
Does my plan limit how many sessions per calendar year I can have? If so, what is the limit?
Do I need written approval from my primary care physician for services to be covered?
Are telehealth sessions reimbursed?
Good Faith Estimate
The fee for individual therapy is $200 per 60-minute session. Most clients attend weekly to support consistent progress and depth of work.
A limited number of reduced-fee appointments may be available based on financial need. We can discuss availability and fit during your consultation call.
Payment is due at the time of service.
Disclaimer for Good Faith Estimate for Cash Pay and Out of Network Patients
If you are uninsured or choosing not to use insurance benefits, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate (GFE) outlining the expected cost of services under federal law (Section 2799B-6 of the Public Health Service Act).
The Good Faith Estimate provides an estimate of reasonably anticipated charges based on information available at the time it is created. It does not include potential reimbursement from out-of-network insurance benefits and does not account for unforeseen circumstances that may arise during treatment.
If you receive a bill that exceeds your Good Faith Estimate by $400 or more, you have the right to dispute the charge. You may contact me directly to review the bill, request an updated estimate, or discuss available options.
For more information about your rights under the No Surprises Act, please visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
Payment
Payment is due at the time of services. Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover are accepted forms of payment.
